We help you export used trucks, vans, trailers and semi-trailers. Buying and transporting a vehicle in another country can be a challenge. The authorities don't make it easy for you. That's why we support you when buying a vehicle with the necessary information and documents.
EXPORT / TRANSFER SIGNS
For the export of vehicles, export plates are issued by the road traffic offices in Zurich and Winterthur. It cannot be obtained from the test centers in Regensdorf, Hinwil, Bülach or Bassersdorf.
The owner must submit the following documents:
- application form
- Original vehicle registration document
- Original driver's license
- Passport, identity card or residence permit in the original
- Cash, Maestro or credit card
The transfer labels do not have to be returned after their validity has expired.

The costs for the transfer number plates and the heavy vehicle fee
(Swiss toll) may vary depending on the vehicle

SHIPPING DECLARATION
We can register your truck for export and transfer to the country of destination at customs and organize the export. When you buy a vehicle, we provide this service free of charge.
An incorrectly declared export means that you have to pay the statutory value added tax in Switzerland. In case of doubt, Motortrade can demand the statutory value added tax of 7.7% of the value of the goods as a deposit. This will be refunded after receipt of the definitive assessment decision from the Federal Customs Administration.
CERTIFICATE OF ORIGIN EUR.1
You need a T1 document for proper customs clearance in the European Union. We only issue this document against a deposit of 19% of the value of the goods. After successfully deleting the T1 document upon leaving the European Union or upon reaching the destination country, we will refund the full deposit.
T1 - Documents are only issued against a deposit of 19% of the value of the goods. The deposit will only be refunded after the T1 document has been deleted.
OVERNIGHT STAY
Late arrival at customs can be unpleasant and entail additional costs. We recommend planning enough time. If you want to depart on the following day, we recommend the following hotels in our vicinity:
