We buy commercial vehicles of all kinds: from trucks to vans to special-purpose vehicles. What matters is that the vehicle is in a usable condition.

On request, we can handle the process through our German location. Simple and uncomplicated.

Neutralization – i.e. removing lettering and advertising – is a fixed part of our service and is carried out for every commercial vehicle without exception.

One rule without exception: the vehicle is only handed over after the full purchase amount has been received. Caution is advised with dealers who insist on cash payment, present themselves as representatives of a third party, or offer package deals with exotic target markets. Commercial exports are declared electronically to the Federal Office for Customs and Border Security — since March 2024 via the Passar system. Depending on the route and destination country, this is supplemented by the EUR.1 certificate of origin and a T1 document for transport under customs supervision through the EU. We prepare these documents.

The EUR.1 movement certificate proves preferential origin. With it, customs duties in the destination country are reduced or waived entirely — provided a free trade agreement exists and the vehicle meets the rules of origin. Please note: for Volvo Trucks and Renault Trucks, certificates of origin are only available to a limited extent or not at all.

VAT is calculated and collected on every domestic sale. A cash payment without stated VAT is not a favour, but an 8.1 percent discount — and a risk for both parties. For exports, a deposit equal to the VAT amount is instead lodged and refunded once proof of export has been provided.

For transfer, export plates and day plates are available. In the canton of Zurich, you obtain them at the Strassenverkehrsamt (road traffic office) in Zurich-Albisgütli and in Winterthur — not at the inspection stations Regensdorf, Hinwil, Bülach or Bassersdorf. Expect around EUR 230 to 400 per vehicle.

We can register your truck with customs for export and delivery to the destination country and organize the export.

Preferential origin refers to goods that can be imported duty-free or at a reduced rate of duty on the basis of preferential agreements between the EU and other countries or groups of states.

The T1 document is used in international trade within the European Union (EU). It serves as proof that goods are under customs supervision while being transported from one EU country to another. You need a T1 document for proper customs clearance within the European Union. Various freight forwarding companies issue this document against a deposit.

For the export of vehicles, export plates are issued at the road traffic offices in Zurich and Winterthur. The following documents must be presented by the registered owner: application form, original vehicle registration document, original driving licence, original passport/ID card/foreigner's permit, cash or card. Costs of between €230 and €400 should be expected.

With every sale, VAT must be correctly calculated and collected.

With cash payment and VAT not clearly stated, this is a sale with fictitious input tax deduction! It corresponds to a discount of 8.1% on the purchase price! Caution: Some dealer groups (especially from Aargau and Bern) prefer cash payment in order to unlawfully claim input tax via fake seller addresses.

Caution with deposits: Some dealers make a small deposit to block the vehicle. They then look for a suitable buyer and collect their commission in cash - often in addition to social benefits. Correct procedure: Either never accept deposits - so that, in case of doubt, no purchase contract has been created. The other solution: Put the buyer in default and set a deadline of 10 days. At the same time, charge a parking fee of CHF 50-100 per day.

Only release the vehicle upon receipt of the full purchase amount. No exceptions.

Certain fraudsters specialize in purchasing several vehicles on attractive terms but then only collect part of them. Method: they collect the cheaper vehicles immediately and leave the more expensive ones behind. Typical scheme: stories about customers or companies in Dubai or other exotic markets.

Certain individuals claim to be acting on behalf of a foreign dealer. This practice is illegal and points to undeclared work. In Switzerland, every foreign employee must be covered by social insurance. In principle, as the seller you are free to do business with such persons. However, the question arises as to how these persons then suddenly show up with huge amounts of cash.

The supply to a company in another EU country is exempt from VAT — if the proof is correct. For this we need a valid VAT identification number, a copy of the owner's passport and a commercial register extract. As long as the proof is outstanding, you deposit a security in the amount of 19 percent of the goods value.

It proves that the vehicle has actually arrived in the other EU country, and is thus the prerequisite for the VAT exemption. Without it, German VAT becomes due and the security deposit is forfeited. So please send the confirmation back to us promptly. To the contact page

The EUR.1 form is a proof of origin confirming the origin of goods exported from the European Union (EU).

The T1 document is used for international movement of goods within the European Union (EU). Once cancellation has been successfully completed, the full deposit will be refunded to you.

Intra-Community supplies are tax-free deliveries of goods between companies in different EU member states. Failure to follow the procedure will result in payment of German tax.

The certificate of arrival is a document confirming successful transport of goods to the destination country and an important proof for the tax recognition of the intra-Community supply. You will need the following: valid VAT ID, copy of the owner's passport, commercial register extract.

We accept bank transfers and cash. Other payment options can be discussed individually.

Payment is made before handover. After that, we prepare all documents for collection.

VAT is calculated and taken into account correctly. For exports, the statutory provisions of the respective destination country apply.
